Start training for the race… only 4 months to go.

Well it is time to start thinking about the John Carson July 4th Road Race again. The race will actually be held on July 5th this year because the fourth falls on a Sunday. This usually means a pretty good size crowd so once again I urge you to pre-register as we did run out of timing chips again last year.. If you want to become a sponsor we have two openings. Your company logo will be on the back of almost 2500 t-shirts for only $350. The shirts are very popular, they are a great way to advertise and at the same time donate to some great scholarships.

For those of you who are running this year be sure to sign up early. The last two years we have run out of the computer chips around 9am. Preregister at Sullivan Farms to be guaranteed a number and chip. We are working on a new timing system which will do away with the computer chips…the chip will actually be embedded on your race bib number. Then you will be able to see your name in front of your slower friends in the race edition of the Chelmsford Independent.
